Ketubah on Leather Parchment

Shema Yisrael Ketubah

The Shema Yisrael blessing is written inside the Tora scrolls and protected by two lions on both sides.

The lion has always been one of the most popular symbols of the Jewish people. This combination of the”Lion of Judah”, the king of the beasts, and feminine roses in this ketubah is unique and romantic.

Shema Yisrael  – are the first two words of a section of the Torah, and is the title of a prayer that serves as a centerpiece of the morning and evening Jewish prayer services. “The LORD is our God, the LORD one.” Observant Jews consider the Shema to be the most important part of the prayer service in Judaism, and its twice-daily recitation as a mitzvah.

Pomegranate fruit decorating young tree is the perfect symbol of fertility, and life. Jewish tradition teaches that the pomegranate is a symbol of righteousness because it is said to have 613 seeds, which corresponds with the 613 mitzvot, or commandments, of the Torah.
